These actually look nicer that I though they would as I first removed them from the soup.
These were done at nine minutes 20C. Images were shot on N80 using Sunny 16 Rules EV of 15 - 16? I think that the Caffenol managed the grain very well without sacrifice to sharpness.
See the next post for cleaned up versions of some of these images.
ReplyDeleteDave, about to try a roll of the same, and there' a ton of inconsistent caffenol info out there, so can I ask you? What caffenol recipe and time did you use? Really like your results.
DeleteHello,
DeleteI used the Caffenol STD Recipe which is 22g instant coffee crystals (I use Folgers), 11.5g Soda (anhydrous), 10g of Ascorbic Acid. This is for 650ml of working solution. 9 minutes seems to be where I get the best results, with Arista 400, or Fomapan 400. I have recently started shooting at ASA 320 and maintaining mix and time as per shooting at 400. I am doing this to increase the density via over exposure. Caffenol from what I am learning is pretty forgiving as to length of time in the developer. You can find more information regarding Caffenol Standard at Dirk Essl's site linked at the top of my page.
